Profile - Maree Smith
My corporate work experience encompasses HR and change management roles in both the public and private sectors and includes the IT, education, financial, government and manufacturing sectors as well as small companies. I currently work as a leadership coach, do HR project work and am also the owner of Minnie Faux Ltd, a company that trades as Minnie + Ree and is a web-based fashion business that provides “beautiful things to make your life easier”. Other brands that sit under the Minnie + Ree banner include Sonsie Swimwear and Merino Minnie (www.sonsie-swimwear.com and www.merino-minnie.com ).
My coaching practice started in 2004 and includes clients in the Auckland and Wellington areas . It was born out of my work as an HR Manager, management consultant and voluntary work as a small business mentor. I had been coaching and mentoring people in the corporate environment for many years but it was when I used a coach myself that I realised that I had found a great career for me!
I believe my strengths as a coach and mentor are my enthusiasm and optimism, my belief that anyone can change their life for the better, and the balance that comes from indepth knowledge of business and human nature.
